goal! … well, sort of

At long last, the Championships^TM are over. On the positive side of things, blind persons and persons with sight impairments were included in the stadium through additional explanations and other reasonable accommodation. The initiative football4all‘s wish that future matches may also be reasonably accommodated can only be supported. 

Finally, the question: soccer or football is also resolved. The IHT’s comment on Austria’s identity crisis in light of the soccer (!) tournament is one piece of the evidence, the other is the NYTimes analysis of a recent Fighting Irish game.

Next one up in terms of human right to sport: the Olympic Games in the People’s Republic of China!
